Why humidity and temperature control matters
Electronic components, circuit boards and process chemicals are sensitive to moisture. High humidity causes oxidation and defects, while very dry air creates static that destroys components, so cleanrooms must hold temperature and humidity in a narrow band around the clock.
- Defects from moisture and oxidation
- Static damaging components
- Unstable cleanroom temperature
Our recommended approach
Most cleanrooms dehumidify with a cooling coil and reheat the air with THERMOLEC electric heaters for precise temperature and relative humidity. Rooms that need very low humidity use DST desiccant dehumidifiers.
